We will remove the movement from its case, wipe away any
accumulated dust from the interior and exterior of the case. |
 |
Disassemble the movement. Proper cleaning and repair of any
worn parts can only be achieved by disassembly. Anything less will not yield
good results and could possibly harm your clock. |
 |
Evaluate all wheels, pinions, springs, arbors, pivots, and
pivot holes. |
 |
Rebush worn pivot holes, where necessary. |
 |
Polish all worn pivots. |
 |
Identify any other repairs that may be required. If any
such repairs are necessary, we will contact you, outline the procedure and
estimate its cost. Your approval is required before we do any
additional work on your clock. |
 |
Reassemble, oil, and adjust the timing of the movement. |
 |
Replace the movement in its case (for mantle or other small
clocks) or set up (tall case clocks) and time the clock for eight days (for
eight day clocks) and make any further timing adjustments, as needed. |
 |
After we determine that your clock is running to its
optimum performance, we will deliver your clock. If the clock is a tall case
clock, the movement will be replaced in its case and final adjustment will be
performed in your home. |
